Mexican Coffee

One of our favorite after hours hot drinks is Mexican Coffee. There are some variations, but basically it is coffee with tequila and coffee liquor. We recently came across some products that made our version even better. Taza Stone Ground Chocolate and Patron OX Cafe.

Here is our recipe to prepare in a large microwavable mug:

1/2 cup black coffee and 1/2 cup milk microwaved until steaming hot

1/2 disc of Taza stone ground chocolate, cinnamon flavor, grated into the hot mixture. We use a microplane for this. Stir until dissolved.

1 shot of Herradura Tequila

1 shot of Patron OX Cafe

Top with whipped cream and a little more grated Taza chocolate.
